The Ethio American Foundation was established to empower Ethiopian-American youth, women, and adults across Minneapolis–Saint Paul and beyond. More than a nonprofit, we are a visionary movement driving lasting change and opportunity. We’re here to ignite potential, celebrate cultural pride, and uplift the next generation of leaders.

Our mission is bold and necessary. We envision a future where every Ethiopian American thrives, leads, and leaves a lasting legacy of progress.

What We Do:

  • Cultural Preservation and Pride: We create immersive community experiences—festivals, storytelling circles, and cultural showcases—that root identity and inspire pride.
  • First-Generation Student Scholarships and Mentorship: We offer academic resources, college readiness support, and mentorship to help students dream bigger and achieve their goals.
  • Job Training, Entrepreneurship, and Financial Literacy: We empower families with tools to build economic independence and intergenerational prosperity.
  • Immigration Advocacy and Legal Empowerment: We stand with immigrant families, offering legal education, resources, and trusted guidance.
  • Healthcare and Mental Health Access: We connect families to culturally informed health and wellness support, nurturing strong minds and bodies.
